White Moonflower (Ipomoea Alba) is a fast-growing tropical vine native to Central and South America, where it sprawls over forest edges and fences all year around. In USDA Zones 5-9 it grows like an annual, but in Zones 10-11, it establishes as a tender perennial and keeps coming back. These flowers are 5-6 inches across, pure ivory white, and open in the evening. Its strong scent during first hours after sunset attract pollinators, especially hawk moths that are active at night. Heart-shaped leaves completely cover the vine, so before the flowers arrive, you get a thick screen of green up to 15-20 feet tall.
