Mammoth Grey Stripe Sunflower (Helianthus Annuus) is an open-pollinated annual native to the prairies and plains of western North America, where it still grows wild along roadsides and in meadows. Sunflower Mammoth Grey Stripe grows 9-12 feet tall by midsummer, producing flower heads up to 12 inches in diameter in deep yellow with a dark center. It blooms in USDA Zones 2-11 in mid to late summer, about 90-110 days after sowing.
